Certified/Registered Veterinary Technician

We are looking for a technically skilled Veterinary Nurse with broad experience who is interested in joining our team and enjoying all the beautiful Western Slope of Colorado has to offer. Alpine Animal Hospital in Carbondale, CO is an AAHA accredited practice with Fear Free certified staff, providing a full range of in-patient care, wellness, dentistry (routine and specialty), surgery and critical care services. We are focused on nurturing long-term relationships that will serve our clients and patients. We strive to provide high-quality, low-stress veterinary care to our patients while maintaining a caring, supportive team environment. Requirements include CVT certification, a team-centric attitude, ability to communicate and a willingness to grow and develop your skills as a veterinary nurse.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Outpatient duties
• Triage and emergency skills
• Inpatient duties: surgery/dentistry prep; anesthetic monitoring and administration, patient monitoring and support pre/post procedure; surgical assistance, perform dental cleaning/assessments, etc.
• Client communication and education
• Provide accurate information to clients concerning fees, hospital policies, etc.
• Patient care and treatment
• Perform clinical laboratory procedures for in-house diagnostics as well as prepare samples for shipment to outside labs.
• Radiography
• Demonstrate initiative and teamwork in everyday duties

• 10 hour shift - 4 day work week
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• No nights
• No weekends
