Ann-Marie Biggins
Staff Doctor
DVM
Ann-Marie grew up in a small town outside of Tampa Bay, Florida. She knew she wanted to be a veterinarian since she was a little girl. There was never a time in her life where she wasn’t sharing her bed with a lab or pitbull.
Ann- Marie grew up being an avid equestrian and has always had a passion for horses and cattle. She graduated from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton Florida, with her bachelor degree in Biology. During her studies, she spent most of her free time working for a sport horse medicine specialist in Wellington Florida and an equine-cattle vet, out of Okeechobee Florida. She moved to the Roaring Fork Valley during her sabbatical year while applying to veterinary school.
She grew up visiting family in the valley and learned how to ski in Aspen at a young age. She always knew she would return someday to grow her own roots here. During her year off, Ann-Marie worked as a veterinary assistant and receptionist for Willits Vet. Her passion for small animal medicine flourished as well as her love for Colorado.
Ann-Marie was accepted to Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, located in St.Kitts and Nevis, West Indies. After 3 years in the Caribbean, she finished her clinical year at the University of Tennessee. GO VOLS! She graduated in May 2022 with her DVM and moved back to the valley in August of 2022.
Her special interests in veterinary medicine include soft tissue surgery, shelter medicine, nutrition, dermatology, pain management and emergency critical care medicine. Ann-Marie loves spending her free time hiking, snowboarding, horseback riding and exploring everything the valley has to offer.
