Melissa has been involved in veterinary medicine since she was 16 and started working at her local veterinary clinic in Illinois. She completed her undergraduate studies at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, and then went on to the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated in 2013.
Dr. Gisleson with her husband, Andy, and their 2 daughters have settled into life in the mountains and enjoy hiking adventures in the summers and snowshoeing and skiing in the winters. Their fur-babies include Hiccup, a mastiff mix, Luther, a boxer, and 2 cats, Ember and Midge.
